ABOUT

The Anchor Conference is for individuals, organisations and Government Departments involved in policy development and program delivery that address social disadvantage spanning Education, Corrections and Youth Justice, Policing, Remote Community Engagement, Employment training and Social Wellbeing.

Keynote speaker Father Greg Boyle established one of the world's most successful social rehabilitation programs, Homeboy Industries. He's recognised as a global leader in grass-roots social change and an inspirational speaker.

The day will be hosted by the founder of Balanced Choice, Adam Drake, who has been nominated twice for Australian of the Year for the Northern Territory in 2019 and 2025 for his work developing and implementing programs that connect with individuals and groups from all walks of life.

The Anchor Conference is designed to offer practical tools for establishing positive engagement and driving vlaues-based decision making and goal setting. Featuring a lineup of leaders from diverse fields, The Conference delivers valuable case studies and practical methods for developing and implementing programs that lead to positive change in individuals and groups.

Adam founded the Balanced Choice Program to inspire growth and a desire for change in young people within Dondale Youth Detention Centre. The process he created proved so successful that demand for Balanced Choice's services has grown exponentially, with the company now working across the country in a range of sectors. This conference draws together leaders who inspired and informed the development of the processes used by Balanced Choice.

Most importantly, the day asserts the importance and impact of working in some of society's most difficult industries. It offers support and acknowledgement for those fighting to bring hope into places that often haven't seen it for a long time.
